Eligibility Criteria for Engineering (B.E. Direct Second Year)
The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in case of Candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.
OR
The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC / Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40 % marks in case of Candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level.
Note:- The students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall only be considered after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma Stream.The students belonging to B.Sc. stream are required to pass the subjects of first year engineering viz: Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing ,Engineering Mechanics and any other subjects specified by the affiliating university x along with the second year subjects.
In case percentage, marks in the Diploma/ B. Sc Examination comes in fraction then percentage of marks shall be rounded off as explained in the example for the purpose of deciding the eligibility of the Candidate.
Example: - If the percentage of marks comes out to be 39.50% to 39.99% then it shall be rounded to 40% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 39.01% to 39.49% then it shall be rounded to 39%.
Documents Required:
- S.S.C. (Std. X) Mark sheet or H.S.C. (Std. XII) Mark sheet (whichever applicable).
- Statement of marks obtained at the Diploma Examination for each attempt in Final Year/Semesters
- Leaving Certificate after passing Diploma.
- Certificate of Indian Nationality of the candidate.
- Domicile/Birth/Leaving Certificate of Candidate indicating place of Birth
- For Category Students (Caste Certificate, Validity & Non Creamy layer valid up to 31st March 2018)
- For EBC Candidates:- Income Certificate of Parents issued by Competent Authority of Govt. Of Maharashtra having Annual Income upto 1 Lacs.
- Bank Passbook(Copy of first page) or Cancel Check of account number.
Student should submit the following Documents while reporting for Direct Second Year Admissions:
- The allotment Letter obtains from DTE Website.
- All the Original Documents mentioned at the time of ARC Document Verification. (Proforma-I, SSC & HSC Mark sheet, Final Year Diploma Mark sheet, Indian Nationality Certificate, Domicile Certificate, For Category Students- Caste, Caste Validity, Non Creamy Layer valid upto 31st March 2018 Certificates.)
- Three Sets of Attested Xerox copies of all the originals.
- Three Passport Size Photographs.
- Proforma –H for backward class candidates not having Caste/Tribe validity certificate on Bond Paper of Rs.100/-. The Proforma-H is available on DTE website.
Fee Structure:
The fee structure of the college will be as per the approval by the Shikshan Shulk Samittee.
Admissions to STC are done as per the norms and guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.
