Electrical (Electronics and Power) Engineering

About Department

Department of Electrical Engineering started its functioning in 2011, with an intake of 60 students at U.G. level. The objective is to provide students with scientific knowledge necessary to understand the fundamentals of engineering as well as successfully obtain a graduate degree in electrical engineering. Key strength of the department is the dynamic, devoted and self-motivated faculty striving hard to build the electrical engineers of caliber. Department has well equipped and state of the art laboratories like electrical machines, electrical measurements & instrumentation, control systems, electrical network analysis and electrical engineering. Academic excellence through better teaching-learning practice, more emphasis on practical aspects of electrical equipment and components to all its stakeholders are the regular practices. Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) takes on the activities which include guest lectures by eminent personalities in the field, teacher’s day, engineer’s day celebration, technical tests, extracurricular activities so as to prepare the students for getting better placement in industries of repute. More and more industrial visits to explore the practical environment, substation visits, power station visits are also arranged regularly so as to make them familiar about the actual working of power devices and system as a whole.
