Siddhivinayak Technical Campus School of Engineering & Research Technology, Shegaon run by Vasundhara Bahuudashiya Samajik Sanstha, Khamgaon organized the One day Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for staff on 13th May, 2019. The eminent resource person of the seminar was Dr. S. B. Patil, Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon to deliver talk on Intellectual Property Rights. The program started with the speech of Dr. A. G. Kulkarni Principal STC, SERT, telling the faculties about necessity of IPR awareness.
IPR expert Dr. S. B. Patil enlightens about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) which was an inclusion of participative learning and example would have given exposure to the participants. He said that in order to enhance innovation, competitiveness and economic growth in India, it is imperative to harness Intellectual Property. More specifically, with the phenomenal growth of Indian Educational and Industrial sector and its need to move up the value chain, it is important that to foster innovation, Intellectual Property Rights generated in India needs to be legally protected and exploited. Low awareness of Intellectual Property Rights procedures and methodologies specifically for a complex area like Educational and Industrial sector is one of the reasons for a low Intellectual Property portfolio from India. Hence, to increase IPR awareness there is requirement of initiative for conducting such expert talk or seminar or workshop on Intellectual Property Rights.
This program was conducted by Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell. All the participants were very happy and learned many new things expecting more expert talk in future.

Outcomes of the Seminar:
1) The participants were aware about Intellectual Property Rights.
2) The participants were enthusiastically learned many aspects of IPR.
